Lake Superior Ice Festival

This year, the Lake Superior Ice Festival on Jan. 28 & 29 will feature 24 professionally carved ice sculptures around Superior at various businesses and city landmarks. There’s also a trivia contest connected to the sculptures. The overall festival is free, although certain events may have a fee.

This event features the Superior Snow Slide, a kids zone, learn to play Kubb and Kubb tournament, ice racing, ice carousels, disc golf course, frozen mini-golf course, and pond hockey.
Also, there will be figure skating, ice-bars, ice specials, food, music, create your own snow creations, snowshoe demos, canine king & queen and feline king & queen contests, trivia contest and fireworks.

The Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures’ artists will be carving all weekend. Want to try your hand at it? Create your own snow creations on the lawn at Fairlawn Mansion!
Additional excitement: Midwest Ice Racing Association’s motorcycles and quads will be racing on the ice next to the S.S. Meteor!
