Lots of Fun Activities Planned for Phillips WinterFest
The 2022 WinterFest celebration in Phillips on Friday-Sunday, Jan. 21-23 offers a lot of see and to participate in for all ages and skill levels, says the Phillips Chamber of Commerce.
All events are open to the public, including the Tavern League Tour (held throughout January) for a chance to win cash by visiting participating Price County Tavern League member establishments.
Catch the production of Cat’s Pajamas (acapella group) on Thursday evening at the Phillips High School.
The popular luau at the Phillips Community Pool will be Friday evening. Then bundle up for a candlelight walk at the Wisconsin Concrete Park, from 6-8 p.m. Club 13 is hosting a comedian starting at 8 p.m.
Saturday opens with the ice-fishing contest on Duroy, Elk and Long lakes. Advance registration at Ross’s Sport Shop or same day registration at the Lake Duroy boat landing. Awards and raffles begin at 4 p.m. at Harbor View.
The Phillips Flurry Snowshoe Race will be Saturday at the Phillips School Forest. The 5K and 10K run/walk offer individual and team entries. A virtual option is available. Visit phillipsflurry.com for more details.
Snowmobilers are invited to join the snowmobile parade Saturday night beginning with the lineup at 6 p.m. at Birch Island Resort and winding through the chain of lakes and ending up on Lake Duroy in time for fireworks and a warming bonfire.
On Sunday enjoy a pancake breakfast at Club 13 and hosted by the Chaparrals Snowmobile Club.
