Enjoy small town charm with a true hometown 4th of July festival as we celebrate “Bessemer Blast.” You will find games, hometown run with tot trot, craft fair, outdoor card tournaments, karaoke, street bowling and the best parade and fireworks in the upper mid-west. In fact, our parade was identified as one “of the best Independence Day parades in the country” by Holidays Central. There is guaranteed excitement for every age, culminating with our “Thunder on the Mountain” fireworks display on July 4 starting at 10 pm. You are sure to see old friends and make new ones. Many of your favorite events are back this year – Geocache Dash, Poker Run, Craft & Vendor Fair, and Dominos Fall – just to name a few. New this year are the Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Competition and six Lumberjack Shows.
