Tour the Northwoods with Snowmobiling Greats

Snowmobiling in Oconto County WI

Snowmobile racing fans and enthusiasts: here’s your chance to ride and hobnob with snowmobiling celebs!  The Snowmobile Hall of Fame’s 37th Annual Ride with the Champs and Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15, in St. Germain.

The two-day event, presented by Livingston’s Arctic Cat of Hillsboro, New Hampshire, features guest speakers, vintage and late-model rides throughout the Northwoods of Wisconsin and U.P. Michigan, a meet-and-greet with past and current Snowmobile Hall of Fame members along with other snowmobile industry celebrities, a formal induction ceremony of latest inductees, and more.

Friday, February 14

Start the day off Friday by joining one of three poker runs, each with its own format, which will leave from the Hall of Fame at 9 a.m. Following the poker run, riders will return to the Hall of Fame, where they can enjoy an appetizer during the poker run awards presentation.

When the Hall of Fame closes at 5 p.m. riders can head over to the Whitetail Inn for the 5:30 p.m. fish fry ($35 for a fish/chicken dinner buffet), which will be followed by a special presentation.

Saturday, February 15

Saturday begins with a 7 a.m. buffet breakfast at the Whitetail Inn, followed by celebrity introductions and a group photo. Then you’ll have your pick from six different rides alongside some of snowmobiling’s legendary races, pioneers, engineers, and tuners. Choose the ride according to your preferred pace and distance, with options for vintage and late models:

  • Eagle River Track Ride: a tour of the historic Eagle River Derby Track and the World Snowmobile Headquarters
  • Vintage Challenge: a brisk-paced 150-mile vintage ride to Lake Gogebic (in the U.P.) Meets the Late Model group at FishTales for lunch.

All groups will arrive back in St. Germain between 3 and 4 p.m. Evening festivities begin at the Whitetail Inn at 5 p.m. There will be an autograph session, dinner, a live auction, and the annual Snowmobile Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
