Let Inspiration Be Your Guide on the Northwoods Art Tour

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how Northwoods artists create their original work. The Northwoods Art Tour has been offering art in the beautiful setting of Wisconsin’s Northwoods for more than 20 years. From October 9 to 11, 2020, you’re invited to escape the beaten track and explore the rambling backroads that meander through charming communities in Vilas, Oneida, Iron, Lincoln, and Langlade counties.

Discover how these artists work and learn what inspires their art. Connect with masters of oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ceramics, photography, woodcarving, carpentry, jewelry making, quilting, tapestry, fiber arts, stained and hot glass, print, sculpture, and other media in the studio. Here’s your opportunity to ask questions, discuss creative processes, and witness artist demonstrations.

Find gifts for loved ones or something for your own home; take advantage of this special opportunity to purchase art directly from the maker.

Indulge your curiosity by designing your own custom tour. Visit as many or as few studios as you would like. The tour’s many sites hold free open houses during which you can come and go as you please.
