St Germain Radar Run

High-speed action returns to the Northwoods this winter with the St. Germain Radar Run. Taking place February 13–14 on the frozen West Bay of Little St. Germain Lake, this event revives a beloved local tradition. Hosted by the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club, the weekend offers a family-friendly festival atmosphere complete with heated tents, hot food, and cold beer right on the ice.
The main attraction is the Snow Outlaws Shoot-Out, featuring professional sleds capable of hitting speeds over 160 mph in mere seconds. The spectacle kicks off Friday night “under the lights” with qualifying runs and fireworks, then continues with hourly high-speed shoot-outs throughout the day on Saturday.
Saturday is also for the spectators to get involved. Amateur riders can test their own sleds against the radar during the “Fun Runs” on a separate 660-foot track. The excitement peaks at 1:00 PM with the famous Bikini Run, where brave racers face the cold to raise thousands of dollars for the Pink Ribbon Riders, supporting breast cancer patients in Wisconsin.
Admission to the event is free. To ensure safety and keep weight off the ice, spectator parking is located at the Community Center, with a convenient free shuttle service running back and forth all day Saturday. With vendors, an expo, and non-stop action, it’s the perfect way to celebrate winter.
