Baraga County has been named the Lake Trout Capital of the Great Lakes and the free (no admission charge) festival will combine the Keweenaw Classic Fishing Tournament with family-oriented events such as kids’ carnival, “Little Miss Superior” contest, Kids’ Fishing Pond, Pie-Eating contest, Beach Volleyball tournament, Pequaming Run and 1/2 marathon, Junk Art contest, Cribbage tournament, Tour de L’Anse Bike Race sponsored by the Fitness Center of Baraga County Memorial Hospital, and the firemen’s street dance on Saturday night. 1/2 marathon, 8 mile run, 8 mile walk, Family 5K, 52 mile bike race and 22 mile leisure bike ride.
