Make your way to Gogebic County for July Festivities

Gogebic County has a ton of festivities happening in July.  Read about some favorites here.

Celebrate the 4th of July in Gogebic County
Gogebic County – Wakefield, Bessemer, and Ramsay, Michigan will be host to amazing Independence Day events offering parades and fireworks on different days, so you can be sure of catching each of the wonderful evening displays!

Ramsay, MI leads off on Sunday, July 2 with the Rumble Over the River street dance from 6-10pm, followed by their fireworks display at 10pm.

The neighboring town of Wakefield holds their 4th of July parade on Monday, July 3, followed by a tremendous fireworks display over Sunday Lake at 10pm.

Rounding out the holiday, the week-long Bessemer Blast 4th of July Festival culminates on Tuesday, the 4th, with a parade at 7:00 and the “Thunder on the Mountain” fireworks display at 10:00. A complete schedule of the Bessemer Blast 4th of July Festival can be found at https://bessemer4th.com/.

Another fun event happening is Festival Ironwood.
Festival Ironwood Features Music, Food and Activities for All
Ironwood – Festival Ironwood, occurring on July 12 – 15, is a community-wide Summer Celebration for the whole family. Each day has its own special round of live music, food, and family activities.

Located in downtown Ironwood’s Historic Depot Park, Festival Ironwood also links up with the special Emberlight Festival of the Arts exhibits that are inside the Depot during Festival days. Cornhole, volleyball, and pool tournaments; foot races, and sand castle building are just a few of the activities that make Festival Ironwood the place to be!

Saturday July 15 unites the Old Depot Car show with the Arts & Craft Vendors show – over 150 classic cars/tractors/antique motor vehicles display while 70+ artisan vendor tents offer a myriad of hand-craft items.
