Visitors will find a unique selection of pottery\, painting\, jewelry\, sculpture\, glassworks\, wood carvings\, photography and more. \nThe Festival of the Arts is kicking off the third annual Art Escape! SUMMARY:Madeline Island 4th of July Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Madeline Island 4th of July celebration starts at 10:30am with a parade that includes entries from firetrucks and ambulances to family reunion marching units.  Following the parade\, there is a program on the village green in front of the Madeline Island Museum which includes the band\, a choir\, group singing of patriotic songs and speeches appropriate to the occasion. This is a not-to-be-missed program that also includes the awarding of all the parade trophies. Our spectacular fireworks begin at dark\, which this far north is almost 10pm. The light show is synched to music\, boats are out floating at anchor in the harbor\, and the magic takes over.

SUMMARY:Bayfield Race Week Regatta
DESCRIPTION:Bayfield Race Week is the centerpiece of the AIS season: a week long festival of sailing on the South Shore of Lake Superior. The event surrounds the 4th of July\, and attracts boats and crews all points of the compass\, including: Canada\, Florida\, Duluth\, and the Twin Cities. \nRace week itself kicks-off on Sunday evening with registration.  Racing starts at 1100 each day\, with multiple fleets. Depending on conditions\, up to three races may be run in a day. \nPost race entertainment starts with the social at the Pavilion each night\, with prizes\, and continues on throughout the week. Bayfield in the mid summer is a lively place with many unique dining and live music options.
